Our mission

With our rebranding, we have not only opted for better nutritional values ​​and gut-friendly products, but also for our products to support women, girls, trans*, non-binary* and inter* people.

After choosing Mexico, it was important to us to find an organization that is not only transparent but also specifically supports projects to strengthen women's rights and promote social justice in Mexico.

Why Mexico? 

Our company idea originated in Mexico, so it was a natural fit to support an organization there as well. Mexico is a beautiful vacation destination, but unfortunately, it's also plagued by murders and acts of violence against women and the LGBTIQ+ community.

In 2023, over 11,200 women and girls were killed, more than 23,500 women were declared missing, and there were approximately 38,000 rapes. In the last six years, at least 513 people were killed because of their LGBTIQ+ identity.

What does the organization do?

The organization Fondo Semillas has existed for 33 years and operates largely as a fund. It provides financial and material support to projects that benefit girls, women, and trans* and intersex people.

In 2022, they provided financial support and assistance to 157 organizations, positively impacting the lives of more than 800,000 people.

The organization has the following four priorities:

body

The body as an expression of self-determination: An essential part of the feminist agenda.

country

Indigenous women, in particular, are fighting tirelessly to point out that there will be no justice as long as the exploitation and plunder of Indigenous peoples' territories continues for the benefit of a few.

Work

The gendered division of labor has historically assigned women and feminized bodies to domestic tasks, as well as to care for the household and dependents (children, the elderly, or people with disabilities). This work is crucial to sustaining life in our societies, yet it remains unpaid and systematically rendered invisible.

Identities

We build our identities on the histories, biographies, and physical and cultural characteristics that define us, as well as on our belonging to different groups, spaces, and territories. Our identities are diverse and constantly changing.
